This year for the fourth time HortiTours organised a truly unique tour for the star photographers Yoshida Shigeru and Setsuko Kanie from Japan. Together with his friends and photography experts Yoshida visited the most majestic trees in Northern Germany. We visited 18 trees recommended by Stefan Kühn of the German Tree Archive.
Like the 2007 tree tour to Southern Germany, giant trees and their settings in the beautiful landscape formed the focus of the tour.

Deutsche Riesenbäume beeindruckten japanische Fotografen
Deutsche Riesenbäume erfreuen sich nicht nur bei uns großer Beliebtheit. Ihre Schönheit und Einzigartigkeit ist nämlich auch auf der anderen Seite des Erdballs bekannt. So reiste eine Gruppe von 12 japanischen Baumfotografen in der Zeit vom 13. bis 23. Oktober 2009 zu 22 ausgewählten Bäumen in den Norden von Deutschland.
